Agsmart specialises in web based communications systems for Australian agri-businesses. One of the main features of these websites is the flexibility of user management, allowing certain content to be visible to selected users by group or level, such as growers, staff, customers, suppliers, etc. Content and functionality can be tailored to these user groups and new groups can be added over time.
An example of this user level control is our Grapeweb solution. We use a level based approach in Grapeweb where users can only see content or menu items that are assigned at or below thier level. For example, content or menu items can be assigned as "Staff" level. Growers cannot see this content (or menu items), but staff level users and above can.
Another feature of the Grapeweb system is the "Change Winery" button. Many growers in the wine industry supply more than one winery. The "Change Winery" feature allows these growers to switch seamlessly between winery Grapeweb websites without the need to log out and log in to each winery's site. This feature can be applied to any multi-processor web solution or can be applied to related companies with a common user audience. For example, a company with multiple divisions can use a single website with different branding depending on the division and only need to maintain a single customer database.
Some users can be assigned "Manager" level and can edit / update / submit content using the WYSIWYG editor.
